The above statement was one of the many things I quoted in today's show. Today's show was very personal to me. I have been online for just over 10 years since my husband left our marriage. I used the online world for my social networking as an alternative to "bar hopping" so that I could be home with my children. Today I discussed the differences between online relationships and offline relationships. Although I did project my own stories into the information I tried to keep the facts and research foremost in the content of the show. I discussed the pro's and con's and was sure to talk about dangers and warning signs. The second part of the show we got into chat a little bit. The perceptions, etiquette and the over all chat experience. I finished up the show talking about Addiction. I referenced a book by Gabor Mate, M.D. ~ In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts. If you get the chance please get it and read it. It is not all scientific and hard to read. It is a real easy read about addictions and his experiences working with addicts down on the east side of Vancouver. It is eye opening to say the least. It touches on online addictions and sheds some light there as well. Behavioral addictions are different from substance use addictions but they are similar on many levels. Addiction itself is hard to sum up in one list of criteria. We have been trying for years and it is nearly impossible to get it right everytime. I ended my show by giving some advice on what I feel can be helpful to oneself in regards to internet use, internet relationships and taking care of oneself in regards to both.

My numbers hovered at a good place but my expectations are for a greater listener base. With that comes more interaction. I really only had about three interactions in my show today. Makes for a show with me talking non stop with no one else being heard!! I feel selfish people! lol interact with me please.
